Municipal hoarding

A post-and-panel works hoarding built on large galvanised posts with a concealed inner post, a two-band panel face and a square-tube brace behind it. It is the type used to close off a city street, a road or drainage contract or a metro works site from the public.

This is the heavier of our post-and-panel hoardings: a deep galvanised post at each station, a concealed post inside the panel line, and a panel face split into two horizontal bands. It is the type specified where a works site sits directly against a public road, a footway or a residential frontage, and the hoarding has to look orderly for the months the contract runs. Our own work with it has been on municipal and metro construction projects in central China, and the same structure is what we quote for export.

The post is a 220×300×0.9 mm galvanised tube — the deep section is what gives the run its stiffness over long, unsupported spans. Behind the panel face an 80×80×1.0 mm galvanised concealed post carries the joint between panels and keeps the visible face flush. A 50×50×0.9 mm square-tube brace props the run from the works side, and the base is a flange plate with expansion bolts, so the hoarding is bolted to a concrete or paved surface rather than cast into it.

The face is deliberately plain: a 480 mm white panel band over a 400 mm grey panel band. That two-band arrangement is the common municipal pattern, and it is also the blank surface a contractor or a city authority uses for project signage, safety notices and printed graphics. Because the panels are a standard band height, a run can be extended, shortened or reused on the next contract by re-using posts and panels rather than ordering a new hoarding.

Every hoarding enquiry we receive turns on the same few points: how tall the run must be, what the ground can accept as a fixing, what wind the site is exposed to, and whether the face stays plain or takes printed panels. Tell us those and the site length, and we confirm the post spacing, the panel band height, the finish and the packing as one specification.

  • Use: closing a city street, road, drainage or metro works site from the public; long frontages where the hoarding stays up for the contract.
  • Post: 220×300×0.9 mm galvanised tube.
  • Concealed post behind the face: 80×80×1.0 mm galvanised tube.
  • Panel face: 480 mm white panel over 400 mm grey panel.
  • Brace: 50×50×0.9 mm square tube.
  • Fittings: flange plate and expansion bolts.
  • Finish: galvanised steel as the manufacturer publishes it; the panel colours are white and grey, and a printed face is agreed per order.
  • Documentation: buyers who need CE / EN / ASTM documentation — tell us the standard and we will confirm in writing what we can supply.

Before you order

What you decide before we quote

These are the points that settle a municipal hoarding enquiry. All of them are questions we put to you, because the manufacturer publishes fixed sections but no fixed run height or post spacing.

  • Site conditions: whether the hoarding stands on concrete or paving that takes expansion bolts, or on ground that needs a different foundation.
  • Wind load: how exposed the run is — a street between buildings and an open approach road are braced differently.
  • Panel height: the run height you need, and whether the two bands stay at the published 480 mm and 400 mm or change.
  • Foundation and fixing: flange plate and expansion bolts as published, or a base detail your engineer specifies.
  • Face and graphics: whether the panel face stays white and grey or carries printed project graphics.
  • Access points: where vehicles and pedestrians must pass the line, so gate and opening positions are set on the drawing.
  • Reuse: whether the run is a one-contract installation or must come down and go up again on the next site, which changes how it is fixed and packed.
Packing & shipping

How municipal hoarding reaches your site

Posts, panels and braces crated and bundled by type, so an installation crew can open one bundle per element.

Export packing

Long posts and braces are bundled together and the flat panels stacked in bundles, with fittings packed separately so nothing is lost in transit. Banding, edge protection, pallets and any cartons are confirmed per specification on the packing list, so a buyer receiving a mixed container knows which bundle holds what.

Loading plan

Confirmed per specification — send the drawing, quantity and destination port and we reply with MOQ, loading plan and lead time within one business day. Because the panels are flat and the posts bundle tightly, the load is planned around bundle lengths against the container length; tell us the container size and the maximum post length and we plan to it.

Documents & terms

We issue the proforma invoice, commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin. Documentation against a named standard is confirmed in writing per order. Payment terms and warranty are agreed per order and stated on the proforma invoice.
