Colour-steel hoarding

A powder-coated square-tube post hoarding that carries a corrugated colour-steel panel in a slot, with a black-and-yellow warning board along it. It is the light, fast-to-erect works hoarding used around building sites, road works and temporary compounds.

This hoarding is built around a slot rather than a frame: the post carries a U-section, the corrugated colour-steel panel drops into the slot, and the black-and-yellow warning board runs along the bottom of the face. That is why it goes up quickly and comes down in whole panels — a crew sets the posts, slides the panels in and braces the run. It is the type used around building sites, road and utility works, and temporary compounds where the hoarding is expected to move with the job.

The post is an 80×80×0.8 mm powder-coated square tube. The powder coating is what gives the post its colour and its weather-facing finish, and it is also the part of the hoarding the public sees at every post station. The slot it holds is a U-section at 0.6/0.25 mm, and the panel is 0.3 mm colour steel in grass green, corrugated for stiffness across the span. Where the hoarding runs along a road or a delivery route, the 0.4 mm black-and-yellow PVC warning board gives the base of the face a high-visibility band.

Behind the face, a 40 square tube or an L40 brace props the run. Both are published options, so the choice is made with the wind exposure and the ground condition rather than by default: a sheltered compound and an exposed roadside are not braced the same way. Because the panels are a standard band and the posts are standard sections, a run can be extended on the next phase or re-used on the next site by keeping the posts and re-ordering only what was damaged.

The face colour is the most visible decision on this product. Grass green is the panel the manufacturer publishes, and the post colour comes from the powder coating; if the project needs a different face colour or a printed face, that is settled on the order rather than assumed. Tell us the site length, the height, the ground fixing and the colour, and we confirm post spacing, panel band, brace type and packing as one specification.

Before you order

What you decide before we quote

These are the points that settle a colour-steel hoarding enquiry. All of them are questions we put to you, because the manufacturer publishes fixed sections but no fixed run height or post spacing.

  • Site conditions: whether the posts stand on concrete or paving, or on ground that needs a foundation detail.
  • Wind load: how exposed the run is — the brace is either the 40 square tube or the L40, and the choice follows the exposure.
  • Panel height: the run height you need, and the panel band height that goes with it.
  • Foundation and fixing: the base detail for the ground you have, agreed on the drawing.
  • Colour and graphics: grass green as published, another colour, or a printed face.
  • Access points: where vehicles and pedestrians must pass, so gate and opening positions are set on the drawing.
  • Reuse: whether the run has to come down and go up again on the next phase, which decides what is kept and what is re-ordered.
Packing & shipping

How colour-steel hoarding reaches your site

Panels, posts, slots, warning boards and braces bundled by type, so an installation crew opens one bundle per element.

Export packing

Corrugated panels are stacked flat in bundles and posts, slots, warning boards and braces bundled by type. Thin-gauge colour-steel panels are separated and edge-protected so the face is not marked in transit. Banding, pallets and any cartons are confirmed per specification on the packing list, so a buyer receiving a mixed container knows which bundle holds what.

Loading plan

Confirmed per specification — send the drawing, quantity and destination port and we reply with MOQ, loading plan and lead time within one business day. The load is governed by bundle length against container length and by the face area of the panels; tell us the container size and the maximum post length and we plan to it.

Documents & terms

We issue the proforma invoice, commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin. Documentation against a named standard is confirmed in writing per order. Payment terms and warranty are agreed per order and stated on the proforma invoice.
